Additional instructors will be either a college player or current coach.
RBIS is running this exclusive clinic to give players the opportunity to learn from enthusiastic instructors with coaching or playing experience. Each session will contain various drills and philosophies that will prepare players for their next level of baseball. Simply put, this is not something that is taught in your typical one on one hitting lesson. Instructors will NOT be paying attention to mechanics, but more importantly using each player’s current ability and introducing them to the situational hitting that is necessary to excel in the field. This will introduce each player to the aspects of the game that coach’s look for when they evaluate talent at tryouts for travel and high school baseball and ultimately when they recruit players at the collegiate level.
Topics to be discussed:
- Introduction to various cage drills
- Hitting with two strikes
- Moving and scoring runners
- Situational Bunting
- How to take batting practice/How to prepare for a game
Each clinic will be 2 days for a total of more than 2 ½ hours of intense bat handling workouts.
Cost per player is $115 or $95 for current members of RBIS.
